Using the Trail System with Sequencer



Using sequencer with the trail system takes a little bit of setup, but once it’s done any character or object can leave trails in a cinematic video.

Once the shot is set up in sequencer, make sure to have your character spawned near the area where the trails are going to be captured. Your character can be off screen and doesn’t need to be in the shot.

This is necessary because Character Trails are localized to the players position, for performance reasons.

If your player character is not going to be moving at all, during (or before) the sequence, make sure to set this setting here.

This initializes the Trail System to start without any input from the player
