Setup for a New Map



After our character is setup for footstep sounds, setting up any new map is a simple process and basically only requires two steps to get footstep sounds attached to the different layers on your custom landscape.


Steps

  • Go to the M4/Blueprints Folder. Then drag and drop the M4SoundManagerBP into your world.
  • Click on your Landscape Actor and toggle on “Generate Overlap Events“. Then save and restart the Editor.

    Restarting Unreal Engine is necessary for it to register the change.
